well its been a whirlwind start but in a good way. its been great meeting up with all my kings friends and also meeting a ton of new people. i dont think ive hit any more dutch bingos in my life. and youll have to forgive me for my terrible punct. as i will be writing my blog updates from my little video player that also has the internet. ill attach a picture later so you can see what i mean. right now therexis definitely an excitment or euphoria of sorts as all the prep and training happens. the weather has been some of the best seattle has had this summer but now well see what its like to bike in the heat. actually my smithers mentality is pretty obvious as i only brought one pair of shorts in my attempt to pack light but thankfully dad was willing and the same size(ish) so i nowxhave two so im set. well rhats it for today as this post hastaken me about 20minutes although iwill hopefully get qicker on this thing. check flickr.com and search seatosea08 for tour related photos.
enjoy. theo

Here it goes
Well Here goes my first blog post ever. Only a week before the tour! i really should be doing my Accounting correspondence course as i have my final exam on monday but i thought this would be a great distraction for now.
As i write this i am for the first time starting to grasp how real this will be in only a few days. With this course taking up literally all my time (11-12hrs/day) i have not trained for nearly two weeks now and so i know my first week on the tour will not be pleasant. ouch.
Thank you to all who have donated towards this cause on my behalf. as a result i have now raised over 3/4 of my goal of $10,000. Please consider still donating on behalf if you haven't to help make this fundraiser a success.
Anyway i must get back to this course so that after my exam on monday i can completely focus on getting ready to bike from SEA TO SHINING SEA! Enjoy
